You can actually use the attachment to air down the tires very quickly. Just unplug it from the air hose and the attachment by itself will just let the air out super fast.

Why worry about stall torque? The proper technique is to never stop in the first place. I don’t mean to go fast, just keep a constant 1 or 2 mph. That way the momentum of the vehicle helps bump over small obstacles. And stall torque is never an issue.

I'll say it again, there is no money in ev charging. These EV charging companies will 💯 come full circle to recreating the existing gas station model, selling snacks. Kyle I hope people are paying you to consult on what a great evening charging experience is because big business is fucking clueless right now.

At 1:06:13 my Lightning is an ice box if I want it to be. I’ve been in 112° temps and been chilly in the Lightning. Sure it doesn’t charge at fast, but at least it can stay cool. But Tesla Chargers are always slower for me than a good EA station once I come off the boost.

One video idea, can you really delve (in Kyle over-information-load) into thermal limits for different battery types? You have a LOT of first hand knowledge, from talking with Rivian, Ford, etc engineers. I feel my Rivian keeps the battery too warm (always 90-104F), I feel the battery cooling is not aggressive enough. I'd love to hear either in a video, or a podcast your thoughts on battery health in terms of temperature? In SoCal we're getting into the summer heat, and this battery won't ever be under 90F, I feel that kills longevity, no? I wish there was a setting to establish a lower operating temp, like 70-80s? I dont mind if the fan kicks on more often honestly.

rivian has no clue how to make cars. they made bad decisions in the tooling process. it cost them way too much to make the cars. retooling will cost them even more money. they will not last unless they make production changes. they cannot keep losing this amount of money and remain in business

Supercharger DC fast charging just went up 20% in my area. This makes it as cheap to drive a gas car. A gas car doesn't need navigation to find a pump. Or 30 minutes and more to wait to get fuel. A hybrid is a easier overall choice for the same home charging savings as an ev.

Rivian's cool fast. So I try to turn on the AC with my App about 5-10 minutes before I get to the truck.

The Dual Max is such a perfect vehicle. At this point i'm waiting for either the F-150 to increase the range or Rivian to give the option for Apple/Android car play.

I keep my r1s's tires at 42 psi all the time just to help with ride quality. 48psi rides terrible.

I had the pleasure(?) of rolling up on a dead RAN site post thunderstorms once with techs on site and got to be the tester (they were overjoyed given I had a low SoC and could hit 220kw). They told me they do bring online modules as it ramps, it takes longer when they haven't been used for a while. The last one kicks in around 194kw and pushes it over 200kw. Techs were super nice and was definitely happy to see them when I rolled up with 12% and saw the entire thing red lol

Will the second gen addressed the cooling issues? I live in Palm Springs and what you went through is, to be honest, a deal breaker. My wife and I are weighing a rivian R1S vs the cybertruck (finally received order invite)

Re: Kyle's surprise at the price of EV charging in CA--No, driving an ICE car is not cheaper. It would cost well over $110 to fill up an equivalent 7-seat SUV. Average price/gallon ~$5.
